Episode Description
There are many reasons for gifting ebooks and many ways to gift them to readers. Later in this course, we'll talk a bit about BookFunnel and NetGalley as options for providing free review copies to interested readers. But Amazon provides a very simple way to gift your ebooks to people, either one at a time or to a whole list at once.
While you have to pay the going price for the ebook at the time of purchase, you also receive the benefit of a boost to your sales rank when people redeem the gift.
So it's good to be aware of this as one possible way to get your book into the hands of readers, especially if you're trying to figure out an easy way to fulfill the prizes for a giveaway or gift a digital copy to your endorsers and launch team.
You can read the rules and restrictions related to buying and gifting ebooks on Amazon at https://kdp.amazon.com/en_US/help/topic/G200652260.
